An Inside Look at Elizabeth Reenstra’s Branding Consistency Package

Elizabeth came to me looking to get her marketing graphics more cohesive.

All she had was a logo and this blue gradient image that she used to inspire her brand colors. She was ready for a visual identity that was more consistent and distinct.

We began with a kickoff call to explore what Elizabeth wanted her visual brand identity to look like. She said she likes a clean aesthetic, not overly embellished or sparkly.

Because she is the face of her brand, we discussed what characteristics Elizabeth has that she wanted to incorporate into her branding. We started talking about her clothing style—classic, sophisticated, streamlined—and where she finds inspiration for her style of dressing. She also mentioned that she loved the ocean, water, and subtle texture.

With all this inspiration, I dove into the ideation. I gathered inspiration on Pinterest, and created an initial mood board. I recorded a video for Elizabeth walking through my ideas and thought process, and she let me know which concepts she liked the best and what she was excited to see more of.

I then proceeded to create her custom design elements, which we would use in all of her graphics and templates.

Next I presented to her the final mood board. It included the collection of custom-designed graphic elements and mockups of what all her marketing graphics would look like with this new aesthetic.

After receiving Elizabeth’s approval, I designed her graphics and templates: social media templates, presentation slide templates, to PDFs to use with clients, email newsletter banners, and her framework visual.

In the end, Elizabeth received a set of custom design elements, plus fully designed marketing materials and templates, all maintaining consistency and alignment with her brand.

And more importantly, Elizabeth felt like her visual identity captured who she is and what she wants to show the world. She could now present a consistent and unique visual identity, one that feels like it actually represents who she is.
